We are an independent, non-denominational fellowship in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, affiliated with the Calvary Chapel movement.
Our mission
To teach the Bible line upon line, making disciples of Jesus who have a deep relationship with Him, are led by the Holy Spirit, and have a passion to worship Him with their whole lives.
Our story
Rooted in the Word, reaching our community.
Calvary Chapel of Lancaster began with a desire to see people encounter Jesus through the careful, verse-by-verse teaching of Scripture. That simple conviction still shapes everything we do.
We are part of the Calvary Chapel family of churches, which began in Costa Mesa, California in 1965 with Pastor Chuck Smith and a small group of 25 people. From those humble beginnings, God grew a movement that now includes more than 1,800 fellowships around the world.
Today, we gather each week to worship, study the Word, pray together, and serve our neighbors. We believe the church is at its best when it grows deeper before it grows wider — strong, healthy, and able to handle the Word of truth rightly.

In memoriam · Passed away early 2026
Pastor Jim was the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel of Lancaster. His faithful verse-by-verse teaching through the Line Upon Line series helped shape our church's commitment to Scripture, and his complete study library remains available on our media library. He went home to be with the Lord in early 2026 and is deeply missed.
